African Masai Ceremonial Shield, Late 19th/early 20th C
Lovely museum quality piece, constructed of wood and animal hide. Consignor’s grandfather brought it back from Africa after WWI, having traded for it. At that time they were made for actual use and not the tourist trade as they are now. Excellent condition with remarkably bright colors. Length 24", width 17 ˝".
