Dark brown leather flying helmet with two-position ear flaps for sound dampening; leather
chin strap with adjustable snap buckle marked “ORIGINAL/PRYM 4″. “Original” is the
same word in German as it is in English, though pronounced differently. Lined with dark
brown fleece. Excellent condition with supple leather, no tears or cracking, and all
complete and original snaps and grommets. No label and the only marking is the one on
the chin strap snap. The Prym company of Stolberg, Germany is the oldest family
business in Germany, going back 12 generations. They are best known for their semi-
finished metal products as well as haberdashery. They made significant improvements in
press fasteners in the early 20th Century and their press fasteners are still produced and
marketed today.
