Bronze Figural Dagger, 18th/19th C, probably Italian

One-piece cast bronze hit featuring straight quillons with ball finials; the grip in the form of a robed warrior wearing an animal skin headdress and carrying a battle axe, standing on a plinth base. The unmarked 9" triangular hollow-ground blade is likely from an 18th C smallsword. Brown patina on hilt with high spots rubbed; light pitting on blade.  LOA 13 1/4".
