US Army Fatigue Jacket, Breeches, Hat, and Belt, WWI

Cotton khaki single breasted jacket with 5 button front and 4 button flap pockets.  Standard US Army buttons fasten through sewn grommets with cotter pin on back. “SCOVILL” and “HORSTMAN” backmarks.  High collar with metal hook fasteners, missing loops opposite side.   “71-11" stamped inside upper pockets.  Owner’s initials “W.K.” inked inside collar.  Button shoulder straps.  Two threadbare labels with ink washed out.  Embroidered First Division patch found inside pocket.  Breeches with reinforced lace-up ankles, no laces.  5 button fly.  Two front slash pockets and two buttonless pockets on rear.  Canvas belt marked “ANCHOR BRAND PAT.JAN.12.04" on brass buckle and “QUSMD” on tab.  OD felt hat with silk band outside and leather sweat band.  Grommets for missing chin strap.  Some moth tracks and several small holes in hat.  Jacket VG, except field repaired patch on bottom left.  Pants slightly frayed on bottom.  Both with some staining.  Nice example of a nearly complete WWI US Army field uniform.
