17th/18th C German Leg Irons

Description

Heavy hand-forged black iron construction with integral cylindrical lock (no key). Massive round-section oval-shaped links. Showing age and significant wear, with one link being so worn as to have nearly been worn through. One can only imagine the many times these were used during their working life and the efforts prisoners made to break their bonds. Weighs nearly 6 pounds!
