Austro-Hungarian Hussar Tunic, probably WWI era

Description

Single-breasted dolman cut tunic of blue wool with elaborate burgundy piping and trim.
The front fastens with toggle buttons covered with burgundy braided fabric. Burgundy
shoulder straps with brass buttons. The buttons feature a star and hammer but there is no
back mark to aid in identification. Collar with two braided gold bars on each side. Gray silk
lining with hand-sewn label that no longer shows any maker information, if ever it had any.
Attractive tunic in very good condition, showing wear commensurate with age and use
(primarily around the collar).
