Featuring hand-forged blade with 18 3/4” (47.6 cm) nagasa (cutting length), midare hamon (irregular temper line), highly visible and attractive hada (grain) rich in nie (small visible martensite crystals), and signed nakago (tang). Painted iron tsuba (guard) with brass rim. Matching copper fuchi (grip collar) and kashira (pommel) with raised gold and silver floral design. Tsuka (grip) with traditional same (rayskin cover), black ito (silk wrap), and copper menuki (grip ornaments) depicting birds in flight. Beautiful wood saya (scabbard) with blue lacquer and unusual iron kojiri (scabbard tip) tapering to a rounded point and featuring gold decoration. Overall length 26” (66 cm), not including saya. High quality blade with highly visible forging features, saya with a few chips to the lacquer.
