The saya (scabbard) made in four sections, plus applied end cap and two carry mounts; depicting Japanese buildings and people in traditional costume. The tsuka (grip) made of two sections, plus end cap carved ensuite. Slightly curved unmarked 13 1/4” single-edged blade. Saya in very good condition, tsuka with cracks and repairs. This type of sword often had its mounts made from the leg bones of deceased Buddhist monks and, for some reason, they did not have high quality blades like other Japanese swords.
